Saplings support their staff to enhance their professional development and ensure that regular training is attended by sufficient staff to improve the care and education that is offered to your children. In line with the Local Authority, Saplings will close for five in – service training days during the school academic year. Saplings endeavours to provide parents/carers with as much notice of these and fees are adjusted accordingly.

We ensure that all staff receive paediatric first aid training and that there are staff on the premises who hold a valid food safety certificate.

I am Jo and I am proud to be the manager her at Saplings. I have a BA (Hons) in childhood studies and have worked with children and families for 20 years. I love my job; getting to know about you all, and encouraging the children to play and form friendships. Encouraging the children to thrive while at pre-school, and to prepare them for their learning journey at school - those small steps to help the children to become more independent, and to celebrate all that they bring into pre-school life!! I spend a lot of my time in the office, updating paperwork, and ordering new activities for the children, but my favourite moments are when I come to play in the rooms and get to see and hear what adventures the children have been having!! We are helping to make the next generation of aspiring artists, scientists, astronauts & more.

I have 3 children of my own, and in my spare time, I enjoy paddling in the sea, picnics in the park and snuggling up with a good book.
